Now available right here at BMW of Silver Spring, the 2021 BMW X5 is a sporty luxury car perfectly suited for your everyday commute. With its combination of sporty style, cutting-edge technology, and unparalleled cabin comfort, the 2021 BMW X5 is hard to top.

Either way, savvy buyers will also likely want to test-drive competing vehicles such as the 2021 Audi Q7. Here is a side-by-side comparison.

Performance

One of the standout features of this new BMW SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) is the variety of different powertrains available. Whether you’re looking for maximum power, maximum efficiency, or a combination of the two, there is a powertrain to suit your needs.

Here’s an overview of the three distinct powertrains.

  • A turbocharged inline six-cylinder that delivers 335 horsepower.
  • Turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor. Combined, this powertrain cranks out 389 horsepower while being fuel-efficient as well.
  • Twin-turbo V8 engine which cranks out 523 horsepower and rushes to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds.

For comparison’s sake, the 2021 Audi Q7 has a base engine which falls short at only 248 horsepower. While it also includes an available turbocharged V6 engine, its 335 horsepower also fall short of the outputs on the BMW SAV.

Technology

The 2021 BMW X5 is packed with cutting-edge technology. The features include standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which comes with an infotainment system, integrated displays, and advanced safety systems. The Audi Q7 also has an infotainment system, but its functionality doesn’t quite match that of the BMW SAV, as it doesn’t have the ultra-useful BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

See why else the 2021 BMW X5 reigns supreme by taking it for a test drive at BMW of Silver Spring.
