So, you’re looking for a luxury BMW vehicle, but unsure where to start? Our team at BMW of Silver Spring is here to help. We’re always excited to discuss the variety of new BMW vehicles in our showroom, and will even compare some of our flagships up against the competition.

One of the many popular vehicles in our showroom is the 2019 BMW X3 near Columbia, MD. Plenty of our customers visit our dealership curious as to how this luxury crossover compares to one of its main competitors, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC. We’re here to answer the big question, ‘which is better?’

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC is a fully capable luxury SUV seating five with plenty of room left over for cargo—19.4 cubic feet to be exact. However, you’ll find yourself with a lot more room in the 2019 BMW X3, as it offers 28.7 cubic feet in the same configuration. Both models integrate a split-folding rear seat, but once again, the BMW X3 has the upper hand with its reading of 62.7 cubic feet of storage room. The Mercedes-Benz GLC? It only features 56.5 cubic feet as a maximum.

Next up—performance. The standard engine in the BMW X3 is a 248-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder machine. The Mercedes-Benz GLC renders a similar 2.0-liter four-cylinder powertrain, but its power output is lower with 241 horsepower. Thanks to the edge of the BMW X3, it boasts a maximum 4,400-lb towing capacity. You won’t be able to carry quite as much in the Mercedes-Benz GLC, as it’s towing capacity caps at 3,500 lb.

To learn more ways in which the 2019 BMW X3 comes out on top when pinned against the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE, get in touch with us today at BMW of Silver Spring! We can’t wait to show off this sleek, uncompromising new SUV.
