It's a supercar with eco-friendly underpinnings. Admiring its stunning silhouette, one might be pleasantly surprised to learn that the i8 is, in fact, a plug-in hybrid. It boldly defies the conventions of its class.
Its unique, hybrid powertrain is equally impressive. The rear wheels are motivated by a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder, while the front two are powered by an all-electric motor. All told, the i8 boasts a massive 362 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.
