As we wrap up 2013, BMW is gearing up to finish the year with some strong sales numbers. This November BMW fans proved they were getting a jump on some holiday shopping, allowing sales to soar to new heights.
Last month a total of 31,752 new BMW vehicles were sold, boosting the year-to-date increase to 11.4 percent. Based on 11 months of sales with 271,891 units sold, this is the automaker's best year-to-date sales record it has ever had.
"Holiday shopping added fuel to our sales giving us the best November ever for BMW and the best year-to-date numbers ever for BMW, for MINI, for Pre-Owned, and for the BMW Group in the U.S.," explains Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. "With availability improving on some of our most popular new models, the X5 and 4 Series in particular, we are looking forward to a record finish for the year."1
Some of the top-sellers include the BMW X1 with a total of 2,364 units sold in November and an increase over last year of 13.2 percent. Customers also seemed to be drawn to the style and performance of the BMW 3 Series. When combined with the 4 Series, a total of 13,148 units were sold, an increase of 22 percent.
